PRIVACY POLICY

Thank you for using the services of Zero Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") outlines the Company’s approach to the handling of private information. By using the Company’s services, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.

What is private information?

"Privacy information" encompasses both "personal information" and "history and characteristic information."

"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information; it consists of information about a living individual that can be used to identify a specific person through details such as their name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions.

"History and characteristic information" refers to information other than "personal information," including: records of services used or products purchased; pages viewed or advertisements encountered; search terms used; dates, times, and methods of use; the user's operating environment; postal code, gender, occupation, and age; the user's IP address; cookie data; location information; and unique device identifiers.

How do you collect private information?

We may collect personal information when users register for or use our services, as well as information regarding their usage history and characteristics when they use our services or browse our pages.

Furthermore, if a user chooses to link their account with an external service while using our platform, we may collect from that external service the user’s ID, as well as any other information that the user has authorized to be shared with third parties through the privacy settings of that external service.

For what purposes is personal information used?

The purposes for which our company collects and uses private information are as follows:

a) To enable users to view or modify their registered information and review their usage history, we display data such as registered details (name, address, contact information, payment method, etc.), services used, products purchased, and the associated costs.

b) To send notifications or communications to users (using email addresses) and to facilitate the delivery of products or other necessary correspondence (using contact information such as names and addresses).

c) To verify the identity of users, we use information including names, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, driver’s license numbers, and records of delivery for items sent via services requiring proof of delivery.
d) To bill users for charges, we use information such as the names and quantities of purchased products; the types, duration, and frequency of services used; the total amount charged; the user’s name and address; and payment-related details, including bank account or credit card numbers.

e) To facilitate data entry for users, we display information already registered with us on input screens or, upon a user’s instruction, transfer such information to external services.

f) To deny service to users who violate our Terms of Service—such as by failing to make timely payments or causing harm to third parties—or to those who attempt to use our services for illicit or improper purposes, we use information regarding their usage patterns, as well as personal identifiers such as their name and address.

g) To respond to user inquiries, we use information necessary for providing our services—such as the details of an inquiry, billing information, the user’s service usage history, and contact information.
(h) For the purpose of creating statistical data, processed into a format that does not allow for the identification of individuals, in connection with our services

(i) For the purpose of delivering or displaying advertisements for us or for third parties

(j) For use in marketing

(k) For purposes incidental to each of the aforementioned purposes of use

Is private information ever provided to third parties?

Except in the following cases, we will not provide private information to third parties without obtaining the user’s prior consent. This excludes instances permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws and regulations:

a) When required by law or regulation.

b) When necessary to protect an individual’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent.

c) When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent.

d) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by either, in the execution of duties prescribed by law or regulation, and obtaining the individual’s consent is likely to impede the execution of such duties.

However, instances where we entrust the handling of personal information—in whole or in part—to third parties to the extent necessary to achieve the stated purposes of use, or where personal information is transferred as part of a business succession (such as through a merger), shall not be considered a "provision of personal information to a third party."

Furthermore, in cases where a user chooses to integrate our services with external services, we may share or disclose personal information in accordance with the user’s request.

Can I view my personal information or request corrections to it?

When an individual requests the disclosure of their "personal information" (excluding "history and characteristic information"), we will disclose such information to the individual without delay. However, if such disclosure risks harming the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party, significantly hinders the proper execution of our business operations, or violates applicable laws or regulations, we may choose not to disclose all or part of the information. In the event that we decide not to disclose the information, we will notify the individual to that effect without delay.

Please note that a fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

Furthermore, if any personal information held by us is inaccurate, users may request its correction or deletion in accordance with the procedures we have established. If, upon receiving such a request, we determine that it is necessary to comply, we will correct or delete the personal information in question without delay and notify the user accordingly.

Can I request that the use of my private information be stopped?

If an individual requests the suspension of use or the erasure (hereinafter collectively referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purpose of use, or that it was acquired through improper means, the Company shall conduct the necessary investigation without delay. Based on the findings, the Company shall carry out the suspension of use, etc., of the personal information and notify the individual accordingly.

However, in cases where the suspension of use, etc., would entail significant costs or is otherwise difficult to implement, and provided that an alternative measure can be taken to protect the individual's rights and interests, the Company shall implement such an alternative measure instead.

The contents of this policy may be changed without prior notice to users.

Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised privacy policy shall become effective upon its publication on this website.
